Selling adult products in stores

Being part of the adult industry or even wanting to be part, you will need to know about selling adult products. In reality it is much the same as selling other products but with a slight difference, many people are shy around and about our products.

The Greeting

So keeping the slight difference in mind, and working from the position that selling is selling lets start with the greeting. Whenever a customer comes into a store you more often than not hear the good old “can I help you” this is wrong in so many ways, but the one that important here it elicits a response like no thanks just looking.

So a good way to great a new customer is with some tried and true oldies like, good morning, Hello or one that is becoming popular have you been before. Just a simple greeting like that can make you customer feel that little bit more comfortable in your store.

When to approach the customer.

Firstly the customer has made it past you or your sales assistant non molested and they are walking around the store you will notice that they linger or gravitate to a section of the store and this is the time to help. So instead of charging like a bull in a china shop if you gravitate over and pick up vibe and say this is our most popular and even better if you happen to have a tester nearby. I have found the best way to close a sale is to actually show the customer the vibe in action.

The best way to successfully close the sale is to actually help the customer, don’t just go for the most expensive get to root of your customers needs and sell them what they want. I actually had an old customer in the other day, and he wanted a vagina and because the range was so extensive I did not know where to start. So what I did what I asked his budget once I had that, I found one within his range then I up sold a lube and a dvd, this all happened simply by helping a lingering customer.

Up Selling Adult products

Yes it is possible to up sell the same as maccas and any other type of massively successful franchise but instead of would you like fries with that or would you like to up size how about would you like a lube with that or did you know if you spend 60 bucks we are giving a free dvd away.
